I agree that Virgin's IFE GUI is truly exceptional. Virgin purchased the hardware for the entire system from Panasonic Avionics, but decided to create their own GUI. Most airlines would have had some serious roadblocks in accomplishing such a task, but my hat goes off to Virgin.

They not only created their own GUI, but even licensed games individually that aren't available on *ANY* other airline (e.g. Doom). If you want a truly extensive list of games, go for Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, and United Airlines (in that order). Those airlines have purchased an incredible number of titles along some amazing multiplayer third-person shooters.

Seriously? I'm more likely to go out and buy an iPhone than take a flight and pay to play DOOM for a mouse. Weak sauce.
