Show me some stats. I don't own a 360, strike one. I didn't buy it as a blu-ray player, strike two. Ratchet & Clank Future is an unbelievable game that people who attack the PS3 probably haven't played, and I assert its a "killer app". Strike three.

I bought mine to play games, and the blu-ray player is a great bonus (although rarely used - $30 for a movie is absurd). Of all the people I know who bought a PS3, not a single one bought it solely or primarily because its a blu-ray player. Also, none of them also own 360's, at least to my knowledge.

You see the link above? That's called evidence. Its helpful when making an argument.

@thebonafortuna
OK - so the PS3 finally outsold the 360... too bad the people buying it are simply buying it as a bluray player; not a gaming machine. There simply is no killer app for the PS3, and cross-platform games are sold and played on the 360. Every review for cross-platform games recommends buying the 360 version for Live support and the fact that the games just play better on the 360. Oh yeah, the folks who are buying the PS3's are already 360 owners. It was about time the PS3 caught up a bit.

I just read that PS3 has outsold 360 over the last five months (http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=19394). If this is the case, I'm not sure what Microsoft is talking about with "prices for everyone". Discounted a discontinued model is hardly a business strategy designed for success. I mean, I'm no expert, but it doesn't seem like planning your future on something you no longer make is a viable option for success. Maybe they mean more price cuts though? Doesn't seem like they need any more models -- they've already introduced enough confusion by building a model without a native hard disk.
