Advertising and marketing on the go

Hey, how many iPhone 3G’s were sold during that first weekend? Oh, that’s right. How could I forget? IT WAS ONE MILLION, in case you didn’t hear. Well, now with so many users accessing the Mobile Web, some are saying that it has reached a “critical mass”.

Images of plutonium accidents race through my head, but in reality it has more to do with marketing and advertising than anything else. This critical mass, or tipping point, is simply a reference to the indicators that state more and more people are using web features from their phones. Enough users and big business tends to notice.

With carriers offering unlimited data plans, more users will be attracted to sign up. As the bandwidth usage grows, expect to see more and more advertisers drawn to the flame.
