LG launches portable, external hard drives in Korea
by Teresa von Fuchs on July 21, 2008

Expanding into the portable storage space, LG has recently launched a line of external hard drives called the XD1. The 2.5-inch drives range from 120 to 320GB in size and come in shiny black or shiny wine colors. Interface options include USB or combo USB and external SATA.

Launched today in Korea with prices starting at $89, LG did not say when the hard drives will be available in the U.S., though the company reportedly did note that they will be compatible with Linux as well as Mac OS systems. If you can read Korean, read about the new drives here.
