But I imagine that a fit guy on a bike carrying a drive across town is still vastly faster than all but the very fastest internet connections - and as Top Gear found in their recent London race, a bicycle is a pretty quick way of getting across a busy city - when you need to get a large volume of data from Office A to Office B RIGHT NOW sneakernet will be there for you. Rising petrol/diesel costs will push the price of car/van/motorcycle couriers up faster than cycle couriers, too, so perhaps there's a possibility for some resurgence with these guys?
