HTC Touch Pro may be coming to T-Mobile

The FCC has just posted information about the HTC Touch Pro (aka HTC Raphael). In a report published by the FCC the phone will have Quad-Band GSM, GPRS, EDGE, and Wi-Fi (sadly, 3G was not mentioned). Other than that, everything else about the phone the FCC is keeping confidential at the request of HTC.

Still no word on which carrier will get this bugger. A few people are leaning towards T-Mobile since AT&T already has the HTC Tilt. I guess we will have to wait for an official press release from either company.

Not surprising that 3G is not mentioned. Tmo only has it in very few markets right now and wont cover most of the states until their Android phone comes out.

I really hope AT&T gets this. I am looking for an alternative to the iPhone and this is my main contender.

I wonder if I can buy it at T-Mobile and swap the sims with my Cingular 8125 (HTC Wizard)?

I think most probably it will be sprint because in germany they have already released this phone and both of them were released from teh same carrier. Also, its twin, the touch diamond, is also coming out in sprint. So, aren’t twins from the same family?

Anyone know exactly when this might be coming out for T-Mobile? My current cell phone is having problems and I hate to get the Wing and find out this neat phone is on ehte market one day or week later. I like all the Microsoft tools that Windows Mobile has that Rim and Palm do not have; so, I want a Windows Mobile phone. That limits choices. I like the minutes that T-Mobile has for the price; so, I hate switching. But, I really like the iPhone that AT&T has. This looks as good as the iPhone if T-Mobile really gets it. Looks like T-Mobile may take better care of their European customers with better equipment than their US customers. More choices for Europe. Any info would be appreciated.

I’ve been reading more and more about this device and I am starting the think that AT&T might be getting it. I am not sure about T-Mobile…

This is just based off of what people have written about it here and there. So I am not sure yet who is getting it.

Well I have been keeping up with the Touch Pro and I found yesterday that it might be coming out with Sprint under the name M6950 on September 2nd. It was on listed on their Q3 2008 plans, check it out.

Zain, the Touch Pro and Diamond may be coming to Sprint, but there are CDMA (no SIM card) and GSM (SIM card) versions to be released. Both have cleared the FCC. Furthermore, the versions in Europe are available for any carrier, here’s a T-Mobile branded one here: (Note: This is for T-Mobile in EUROPE, and does NOT lean towards T-Mobile USA picking up this phone!!!)

Another note, I have a ROM for the Touch Pro titled “RUU_RAPHAEL_CINGULAR_US_.exe”, so that kinda leans 1 way huh?

T-Moble USA sucks when it comes to devices… this is a cool phone so you can pretty much bank on T-Mobile USA not offering this one.

T-Mobile USA sucks

This should be coming out from T-Mobile in the 4th quarter which is around October/ September. It has already came out for T-Mobile in New York from some of the websites I had came across.

N.Y. hmmm…I can see the logic since that is the first state to get this mysterious T-Mobile USA 3G Network that is supposed to exist. The 3G and cool devices have been cried out so many times on the behalf of T-Mobile USA it is just time to put a cap in ass of the boy crying wolf (metaphorically speaking).

There are two kinds of companies… those that can promise and deliver and then those that can talk $&#@ and not deliver. If we run on track record; T-Mobile USA is the later… oops, T-Mobile USA does suck.

I still think it’s coming to AT&T and this was on Gizmodo the other day kind of confirming it… unless it was a fake, which is possible.

Nice find Joel, thanks… at this point I am shoppoing for another carrier once T-Mobile USA’s new devices come out in Q4.

T-Mobile USA; as customer since the days of Voicestream you are being put on notice. If you hose us customers with yet another line crappy devices in Q4 you can drop your custoemr count by 1. I am sick to death of the empty promises I’ve gotten all year from the sales account management group. Not to mention that the group tells me, “you can stay with us; just buy an unlocked phone that suits your needs”. Kiss my a%$! If I got to go get the phone on my own and pay a the premium, then why not ditch your a$% and go see someone who wants to keep my business. You don’t save me enough money each month to put up with this craziness.

Have I said, T-Mobile USA sucks lately :-)

SPRINT and VERIZON are the carriers that will have this phone. Both companies have been testing the concepts for almost a year. This phone for Sprint will be the upgrade to the Mogul as the Diamond will be for the Touch. The Diamond comes out this month and the company is preparing for the hype of the Pro which can come out anytime between now and 1st quarter 2009. Both phones are broadband (evdo) and Rev A compatible.

As far as any additional carriers…. not sure because testing for this phone in the US has only been done on the Sprint and Verizon networks…
