Spoilers after the link below! Find out why the new Transformers movie will suuuuck.

An interview with the writers of the hotly-anticipated sequel proved quite revealing.
What is the plotline? Intergalactic warfare? A new race of savage Transformers marauding the Earth?

“It’s about being away from home. It’s a few years later and Sam is going to finally go to college and he’s going to face being away from home just as the Autobots are having to deal with being away from Cybertron.”

I’m sorry, is this the Transformers movie or an episode of Felicity?
And how about this:

“We couldn’t quite figure out how to justify a robot that would pretend to be a dinosaur.”

Okay, you already have talking robots battling it out over an ancient magical cube. Is it that hard to find some way to bring in the Dinobots, even if it stretches suspense of disbelief to the absolute limit?

Lastly, regarding a possible return of Megatron:

“That would be silly.”

You’re right, guys. Who wants the best villain of all (save Unicron) to make a comeback anyway?

  • wow….that sounds like a story straight out of The Onion.

  • The first one sucked anyway, so…

  • 1. The movie’s got to have a story. The first one was an introduction to the world via a kid getting his first car.

    2. Transformers: Robots in Disguise. Disguise is the keyword there. The fact that there is a secret war over an energon cube is a non-issue, especially when there is a dinosaur walking down the street all non-chalant.

    3. I can’t argue this one. Megatron is awesome, but he was destroyed in the last movie. Who knows he could be back? Michael Bay loves giving false info to the press about his Transformers movies.

  • The sequel will suck because the first one sucked.

  • Oh man I’m not the only one who thought the first Transformers was a major crapfest! I loved the beginning, that was awesome, and the the part with the airforce being called in was cool. And that’s where I stopped liking the movie. It’s to the poin that I loathe Transformers. And now there coming out with this junk for the second, bleh.

  • he’s right the return of megatron would be silly… especially when he comes back as galvatron!?

  • As long as they don’t bring in any female autobots and try to develop a romantic plot with Optimus Prime, then this movie will turn out alright.

The Construcitcons (sp?) are supposed to appear in the next film, so that alone is a positive for this film.

  • Since Batman finally became a good movie after all these years, I’m hoping eventually the same will happen for my beloved Transformers, because the first movie was terrible. The original series wasn’t about Sam!

  • according to IMDB…..
    Warning! This synopsis contains spoilers

The battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force. The Autobots believing that peace was possible finds out that Megatron’s dead body has been stolen from the US Military by Skorpinox and revives him using his own spark. Now Megatron is back seeking revenge and with Starscream and more Decepticon reinforcements on the way, the Autobots with reinforcements of their own, may have more to deal with then meets the eye.
