Here’s a handheld electronic gaming device that’s hooked directly into the Venetian’s gambling empire via a simple Wi-Fi connection. Let me be the first to say: FINALLY! The Venetian is such a dump but I love gambling there. Now I can just go lock myself in one of the rooms instead of actually hitting the (dirty, sticky, grimy) floor in person.

In another stroke of genius, the eDeck device is only available to high-stakes players like me. Losing $500 in one fell swoop is nothing to a tech blogger. I just daintily and dismissively wave my hand at the machine and say, "Psssh, I only need to write a thousand posts to make that money back."

According to the product’s site:

"eDeck can be played in the High Limit Slot Salon at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.  You can play your choice of slots, blackjack, baccarat, video poker, and either European or American roulette.  Coming soon to the eDeck selection of games will be Cantor’s proprietary games including Bonus Roulette™, XtraOdds Baccarat™ and Statjack™."

For the record, I don’t really think the Venetian is a dump. I was joking, ROFL! It’s a very nice hotel and I’m proud of the men and/or women who built it.
