Save your money or spend it on a different external hard drive. This thing sucks. 90% of the time, I can not access it. Either my computer just won’t register that it’s there, or I can’t access any of the folders. Of course, that didn’t happen until I downloaded 40GB of data to the damn thing. I’m a photographer, and now I can’t access any of my photos, and I’ve had the thing less than 3 months. Do NOT buy this product.

Need help. Simpletech tech can not seem to answer there phone.
I plug the redrive 1Tb into the computer usb and directly to the wall. all i get is the light on front and the safely remove icon shows up. I am unable to view the hard drive…..what can i do so i can use this thing? thanks

External drive reviews should include the manufacturer of the drive itself, if different from the packager. Hard to make a purchasing decision without this information.

Example: We have had so many problems with Seagate that we no longer supply or recommend them to customers. Ditto for external drives containing Seagate.

I’d wager that this drive is probably one of the best external devices I’ve seen.

First of all, I’m not sure you can even bet someone on a probable opinion. That doesn’t even make any sense.

And really? Probably the best you’ve ever seen?… I think you need to get out more. You’re killing us with your reviews.

It runs much quieter and cooler than the other drives i’ve tested. For an external drive, that’s pretty good.

What about this drive is “close” to “revolutionary” ? It’s a quieter drive (I don’t notice that my external drives make noise) with moderate power management features and… a slab of bamboo on the top. If that has your eco-friendly spider senses tingling, I have some eco-friendly property on the moon to sell you.
