Speaking of hilarious, did you know that John Mayer is a fan of stand-up comedy? He recorded a few words for the Opie and Anthony show yesterday, to the effect of “Good luck to XM people trying to keep their jobs now.” He’s also been known to do sets at the Comedy Cellar in New York City.
John Mayer’s an asshole. I made the mistake of seeing him in concert four years ago when the Counting Crows opened for him – no big shock there. They’d open for me if I had a band. In any case he walks out stage after an unnecessarily long break between sets and says, “Thanks, Counting Crows. Ok, folks, now you can see what you came for!” I mean, he was probably right, but what a douche.
See the person walk by at the end and tell the camera man TMZ is “like vultures, man”. They’re right, I hate TMZ. I can’t watch it, too many ugly people hosting the show, from the jag off surfer dude to the dildo eyed blonde hair broad.
Jon Mayer won me over with his remix of Chocolate Rain and then had me laughing again with his “2 Guys 1 Cup” spoof. He should do more comedy.
Mayer is hilarious. If you ever go to one of his shows you’ll see. He cracks jokes the entire night. This is totally entertaining.
