This whole netbook thing is getting out of control with the latest entrant being Sylvania. Don’t they make light bulbs or something? Yeah, anyway, Sylvania’s little 8.9-inch netbook dubbed g Netbook Meso has a nice set of features. The Meso comes equipped with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom proc, LED-backlit screen with 1024×600 resolution, 80GB HDD, multi-card reader, 512MB of RAM, and weighs a mere 2.2 pounds. You have the option of Windows XP or Ubuntu Netbook Remix. There is one VGA port and three USB ports. The dimensions for the Meso are 9-x7-x1.25-inches and battery life is said to be 4 hours. It’s unconfirmed where the Meso willl be sold, but it does come in four colors, onyx, snow, solar and blossom.
