It's inexcusable much better the iPhone software is in its first year of release, compared to the Windows mobile. What has Microsoft been doing? Does it really take Apple to enter the phone market and kick them in their butts to improve their software?

The difference between Microsoft and Apple is that Microsoft makes platforms for partners to built solutions for the enterprise and markets to various types of users. Apple makes software for users. That's the secret right there.
