That’s a SNES you’re looking at up there. The portablized version is detailed over at benheck.com forums. Lots of photos from every angle show the creation in all its glory. Nicely done.
Power is provided by internal lithium batteries, (two 3.7v 4250 mAh tied in series) which take 2.5 hours to charge. Shoulder buttons got mapped to the back as triggers. AV and headphone jacks are provided.
Brian, (no relation) the portablizer who took on the SNES clearly put a lot of time and effort into the commissioned project. Apparently it took so much time, that he isn’t planning on making any more. Too bad, because I want one.
Our tipster, Steve also set us up with some ‘making-of’ videos.

I was so disappointed when I read this and learned that it isn’t something that I can own for myself :( portable SNES = most genius idea ever.
why there’s no portable snes consoles?
CrunchGear’s Official Tipster ?! Sounds great xD
Where have you folks been? I’ve been playing SNES on my PSP for the last two years!
@weatherman: were talking about a dedicated console not an emulator
if they were to sell those how much would they cost?
