I disagree. The device is more important than the content. I've got plenty of e-books that I'd love to put on a portable device, if I could get one without paying hundreds of dollars. Right now my options are to read them at my computer or print them out.

Deutsche Telekom and the others simply don't get it... The device is only secondary; it's the content that matters guys and gals! What good is a flexible ereader with no, or very limited content? Or still worse, an ereader that requires a complex task of dowloading content to a PC, converting that content to another format, and then side-docking the ereader to that PC to finally get the content to the ereader for my reading enjoyment... Kindle is certainly not the best device but it's a joy to easily access and download what is still the largest single source of content. If the other's would understand that then perhaps they could truely challenge the Kindle, but until then they don't stand a chance!

When Amazon get round to releasing the Kindle in Europe then I think this little project might get killed off.
