Despite the price tag of $99, I will be sure to get myself one of these for my iP3G. I’ve been testing the MJP for my first gen iPhone and so far it works great. Sure, it’s a tad bulky, but I’ll deal with it so long as I have enough juice without having to run to an outlet every few hours. A string of four LEDs located on the back indicate how much battery life the juice pack has and it doesn’t interfere with the sync process if you plug directly into it from your laptop/PC.
The added “juice” gives consumers up to an additional 350 hours of standby time, 6 hours of talk time on 3G, 12 hours of talk time on 2G, 6 hours of Internet use on 3G, 8 hours of video playback, or 28 hours of audio playback.
Mophie is also coming out with one for the iPod Touch.

Can somebody let me know if there’s a manufacturer of something like this that has a speaker built in for the touch? Mophie’s close, but why a miniUSB port and not an ipod port?
That’s a good question, but I kind of wish the iPhone versions had that too.
This is now available for pre-order. I saw it pop up on July 29th for a short time before disappearing (Pics here: http://whenwillapple.com/saywhy/2008/07/30/mophie-juice-pack-3g-preorder)
