Here we go, again. Looks like Rockstar Games could be in some hot water after an 18-year-old Thai teen confessed to robbing and murdering a cab driver because he wanted to see if it was as easy in real life as it was in the game. The miscreant said he didn’t intend on killing the man, but that he stabbed him to death once he started fighting back. As a result of this incident that took place over the weekend a Thai video game distributor has since halted sales of the title.

“This time-bomb has already exploded and the situation could get worse,” Ladda Thangsupachai, director of the ministry’s Cultural Surveillance Centre, told Reuters. “Today it is a cab driver, but tomorrow it could be a video game shop owner.”

  • Please, please, please give this kid the needle. As a species we need to curb the rampant plague of stupidity that is spreading like AIDS. For every one person that GTA drives to madness there are thousands of others that aren’t that stupid. VIDEO GAME!

Does that mean a cab driver’s life is less important than the life of a video game shop owner?
