Blade Runner, the just-OK movie we’ve been led to believe is amazing, is set in a terribly oppressive Los Angeles (redundant?), where it’s always raining and it’s always nighttime. The city’s skyscrapers, on the other hand, are brightly colored pieces of flair, whose lights illuminate the abyss around them.
But enough of that fruity movie review talk.
Object has identified 15 real world buildings that look like they’re straight out of Ridley Scott’s indie movie.
In other Blade Runner news, I recently saw the German silent movie Metropolis. It was weird.

Well, apart from the building selection, which is fair, regarding your pauper comment on the classic BLADE RUNNER, I just have to say your comment on Metropolis (+ the fact that you have only recently seen it) suffices to qualify your points of view as those of a 15 year old. (For the teeners out there, don’t get me wrong!). This guy clearly has no idea of how influential this movie has been. I’ve seen E.T. when I was 17 and found it ‘ok’ for a sunday afternoon. Got my point? Well, I’ve skipped the main subject anyway, just to make a point.
