Yeah, but I would think your receiver would be more for switching between cable, whatever HDMI you’ve got going in, and your audio. So yeah for the Al Green it’s probably enough, but if you’ve got more than a couple HDMI sources (upscaling dvd player, ps3, 360…) I personally would want them going through a box like this.

Isn’t this what your AV receiver is for? all devices audio and video plugged into the receiver which is then run to your speakers, primary audio/video input on your TV?
