Walmart increased HDTV sales during July
by Matt Burns on August 8, 2008

Walmart might lack the style and class of other electronic establishments, but the retail uber-giant realized an July increase of entertainment merchandise. This was led by flat-panel TVs along with video game and digital media. While you might not want to admit to your A/V snob friends, Walmart does offer most decent models at, well, everyday low prices.

We aren’t here to debate the best place to buy your next HDTV, but we do know times are tough. Maybe your opportunity of enjoying glorious high definition is increased by lower prices spurred by lack of sales staff and warehouse-style shopping. We don’t care where you get your set and, yeah, we won’t tell anyone it came from a Walmart – or Costco.
