Rob Cohen, director of such Hollywood blockbusters like Stealth, The Fast and the Furious, and most recently, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, thinks Blu-ray shows off his latest creation better than the theater. According to Cohen, the post-production makes the visual effects pop on the high-def media.
“Things that are dimensional, like the dragon lunging at the camera, in Blu-ray really knock your head off because you are seeing all the details we put in it that are even a little better defined,” Cohen said. “The dark/light values are better so you can be darker and still see all the detail. Plus you have many more layers of ancillary material, and much more information.”
Hold on; when did this movie hit theaters? Must not of had a batguy in it. Good thing it’s coming to video.

Rob Cohen is an idiot. Nothing he says will make the Mummy 3 a better movie. Celluloid will always be better than anything digital.
I haven’t been to a movie since I got my PS3…and even before then! Most movies are terrible and unoriginal, and the few good ones are much better on Blu. Course, the theatres in my town are rubbish, so that doesn’t help.
Man Stealth and The Mummy 3, this guy makes some real flops!
WOW matt, i guess by your end comment u have have been burned by the whole HD vs BLU RAY situation, but still u could try being objective rather than just pathetic about the situation.
