Live at the Bigfoot press conference

Our own Greg Kumparak is live at the Bigfoot press conference we told you about the other day. Remember? They found and captured Bigfoot? Hit the jump to watch…
Still getting things set up. Greg’s trying to get live video going using Qik. One moment, please. This initial video’s only about a half a second long, which means he’s probably having trouble or can’t get a good signal. If Greg’s not able to get a video stream running, we’ll wait to hear what he says about the press conference anyway.

It ended, seems like everyone is disappointed.
It was a whole lot of nothing, for the most part. My QIK feed totally failed, as the signal in there was 0 everything
Some details:
Biscardi holds up an small (6×4 or so) printout picture. The picture is of the teeth to prove its “not a mask”
Which is weird, seeing as its supposed to be a primate but has 6 incisors
A bunch of people from college papers were here, plus a dude in a big foot costume.
One of the guys used to be a law enforcement officer but refused to speak about it
The junk in the picture around the stomach is intestines and other inside bits
They said they don’t know if it was shot, but they didn’t shoot it
Someone asked if it was a hoax and the guy, Tom Biscardi, removed his glasses, paused and said “It’s as real as you are, standing right there.”
Totally dramatic.
They couldn’t remember what day they found it on, exactly
To preserve it, they apparently dumped water into the freezer to encase it.
When questioned on the process, Tom Biscardi said they were pouring water in it, questioned them of their methods, but they kept going.
Someone asked if it would damage the DNA and he said something like “Don’t ask me, I’m not the scientist.”
One test came back saying its 96% possum (Shown in picture below)
They said It was likely from what it had been eating
There was a bunch of questions surrounding their website and their business - looooots of skepticism.
They also said the two dudes who found it have video of live ones that they are not ready to release yet
When questioned, they said they just happened to be carrying a video camera, and that they always do
But that they don’t carry guns.
At about the 30 minute point, people got sick of the lack of evidence. At least, the evidence no show. Someone asked for it immediately. He asked if everyone was done asking questions. People all went crazy. He went over to the desk and was mobbed.

Yeah, weird huh? Makes you wonder WHY it’s under siege. Too many Bigfoot sightings, probably.

So a human woman, a chimp, and a possum all had a 3 sum and this is what the woman produced? If this is true, then it shows that evolution is the real deal and there is no such thing as god. I wonder if this thing has AIDs considering black people caused it having sex with monkeys (i.e. woman boinking chimp).

So that is the photo evidence?? It’s actually more than I expected. My son has some of those teeth that he bought at a joke store. It is totally amazing that these guys think they can pull this off with these kind of crappy pictures. If this was real, there would at least be real pictures. End of story for me.

This is totally fake. They arent ready to release the video yet because the bigfoot costume they bought online is backordered or they are waiting for their copy of final cut to arrive so they can fake up the video. Lame.

Isn’t that video a masterpiece? I was sitting there running QIK for about 5 minutes before I noticed my reception was sunk and the transmission speed was hovering around 2kbps. Doesn’t exactly work well with the whole live streaming concept.

The whole thing seems to be so full of holes that it just has to be a scam. All the red flags are there: they didn’t produce a body, no “unbias” sceintific examination, and it’s being promoted by a bigfoot website. too bogus. send in a zoologist, they could prove or disprove this in 10 minutes.

So, it has the teeth of a human. Humans eat meat. Possum is meat (darned greasy though). Viola, possum DNA? I am not a forensic scientist here, but they did pull the sample from the intestines? Of course you have to be really wary of those Georgian scientists ESPECIALLY those middle eastern Georgians. I’m thinking the Russians would have sent their guys in to do the work seeing as how they are still mucking about.

It seems to me that people are missing the biggest picture. This is the second supposed sighting in 2008. Even if it is a hoax, why are the hoaxes and sightings getting more frequent? The creature that we know as Bigfoot has almost got to exist. The sightings in Georgia and the sighting in Arkansas are the lowest that there have been in the U.S. most recorded sightings have happened all further north in the U.S. I have not researched this particular sighting, but it would seem we don’t know enough about it yet.

Indeed we don’t know enough. One logical explanation could be that the areas up here in the NW are less accessible as opposed to the relatively flat, densely wooded areas in the south. Looking at a terrain map of the south, the mountain chains pretty much open out into the southern states of GA, AL and the Carolinas. Flatter areas mean more accessibility by humans. Not sure of the AR sighting. Population density in the NW may have something to do with it as well.
