There’s a reason the “wearable vehicle” concept has only taken off in games and insane stunts. It’s probably that part where there’s heavy machinery attached to your body and if you take a turn wrong, it’ll tear your limbs off. Let’s hear what the creator has to say about the death machine pictured above:
“It’s like riding two skateboards at once, but stable, because the machine supports the rider’s body… This isn’t fantasy, it’s a green vehicle, and all of the numbers are based in the real world.”
Well, it’s certainly electric, and the three-wheel setup may be stable (his comparison to riding two skateboards notwithstanding), but I just see so many ways this could go wrong. These are more suited to flashy, futuristic vehicular combat than anything else.

It looks cool and I bet it would be fun to drive untill the first time a rock bounces off the road and smacks ya in the no-no-special place.
I bet a Prius or (insert any other plastic toy car here) looks a whole lot safer and sturdier now.
During the video I thought it was a new vehicle for Tron. I think it would even get owned in Tron.
It would be nice to see an actual person sitting in it.
Personally, I like my limbs exactly where they are – attached to the rest of my body. :)
On the other hand, this could actually work – but it needs a proper cage and lots of safety features. Also needs a trail to follow for when you are in the carnage mood.
I’ve been thinking about a similar issue that this addresses. When we drive on the highway, after a certain speed, aerodynamics are the limiting factor for gas mileage at high speeds. What if a car had the person laying down instead of sitting? This seems to address it.
This is beyond amazing.
You knees scrapping against 500 yards of asphalt as you come to a halt from a tire blowout is your definition of safe?????
Oh and a pot hole on the road might be just the ticket to get reconstructive facial surgery, not to mention your body being suspended from slings on the bike might make good training when you break all your bones and need to spend months in the hospital suspended from the ceiling…
a better idea if you ask me is here:

Nice form but those front wheels would be ripped off by the aforementioned potholes.
seems to me if you hang a basket from it you could actually use it to shop at the supermarket. a hypermod shopping cart!
