I will also try to be nice, seeing as how it's so popular.

Fallout 3 is much more RPG than FPS, though it combines aspects of the two - Oblivion with guns is the over-simplification I usually hear. Not that I don't love a good remake of Doom. :)

Also, Fallout 3 is a pseudo-sequel to the first two Fallout games. The game takes place 20 years after the events of Fallout 2, I believe. There is no Fallout 4, and none has been announced, so I'm not sure why it's referred to here as a prequel.

Finally, the screen shots seem to have come from press in Taiwan, not Japan. Japan has much more respect for copyright law and intellectual property rights in general.

Can't wait to play this game.

I'm going to try to be nice here... Comparing Fallout to Doom is pretty off base. Besides both being first-person shooters they don't have much in common. Doom is a linear game that is all about dark atmosphere, triggered battles and action. Fallout is a non-linear game that is about player choice and a deep story. A more apt comparison would be to System Shock or Deus Ex 1. Except that the original Fallout is a classic, so it doesn't really need a point of reference.
