Steve Jobs proclaims an end to iPhone app crashing come September

scaled.iPHONE 1
Is anyone else experiencing dropped calls and other such annoyances? I find random apps crashing until I restart the bugger, but that’s become an extreme annoyance. Too bad September is a long time away.

This is a known iPhone bug that is being fixed in the next software update in September.

Big money for a phone that crashes all the time… sounds about typical ;-) At least Apple is good about getting bugs taken care of though, other companies would just shrug and roll their eyes..

word on the street is they ditched all the new features and are trying to right the ship with 2.1… hope that’s the case.

don’t be absurd. September isn’t far away… you’re an early adopter on the bleeding edge. show some spine.

Definitely an early adopter for a 2.0 product.

Agreed. The crashing is a pain.

But the iPhone is still far and away better than any phone or PDA (and a lot of computers!) that I’ve ever used. The expectations people have of this thing are laughable. Yes, there are devices that outdo the iPhone in their niches, but there’s nothing out there that does this much this well. At the end of the day, it’s still just another electronic device, and electronic devices are going to have flaws. Breathe into a paper bag people. So the iPhone isn’t perfect; it’s not the end of the world.

(Sorry, had to rant somewhere, and this is where I happened to be. No offense intended.)
