A knee jerk reaction is a last minute and rushed attempt to copy the Wii...i.e. Sony. The xbox 360 has been slower and more subtle in shifting its console into the casual gaming market.

They have a strong stable of casual games inside of xbox live arcade. Some of these games dont make much use of the 360 controllers two thumbsticks, D-pad or 8 buttons (11 buttons if including start, back and xbox button)

A simple motion controller would be very useful in thesee circumstances. I am sure that game creators will find a creative way of using such a controller.

But it still isn't a Wii and none of the 360's games are designed specifically for the use of motion sensing controls like the Wii. Seems like a bad idea, like Sony adding motion sensing as a knee jerk reaction to the Wii...
