Like the Twitter reading robot before it, this DIY little guy, which looks like the TV character that says “Oh, no!” a lot (the name escapes me), sorta makes you say, “Now why would I ever make that?” I couldn’t tell you. I can tell you that if you’re savvy enough to know what API stands for, you’re probably savvy enough to build one of your own.

The obvious, bordering on hack joke would be to have the robot recite horribly inappropriate jokes at unexpected moments. Sorta like teaching your parrot to curse solely for your own amusement.
