Guys,

Would you like to see HTC Dream or <a href="http://homebiss.blogspot.com/2008/09/htc-dream-g1-google-streetview-with.html" rel="nofollow">G1 with its built-in compass and Google Streetview in action</a>?

It is really cool! See it with your own eyes.

As I was scaling the picture to actual size to print out a paper craft prototype, I noticed something. Check out the smiley face slot on the back of the display (farthest right picture). If that’s a slide guide, then the display moves up and back down when opened and closed. That would allow for closer tolerances to the bottom "wing." It would be able to be close against the bottom making it more solid. When you open it, it would move about 8 mm away from the bottom while sliding. Then move flush against the bottom when slid all the way up. I haven't seen this news anywhere else. What does everyone think?

Im not digging the physical keyboard...and I have never been a fan of the sliding style phones. It just seems to add bulk to the phone which is the last thing I want.

NO BULK-NO PHYSICAL KEYBOARD! Make the virtual one work! Thats it!

Photos, video and now drawings. It appears that Android may actually show up after all. I'm still waiting to see the product before I draw any conclusions whether the product will live up to the hype and be what consumers have been "dreaming" about.

This is the phone I have been waiting for ... iPhone + physical qwerty keyboard + open source for applications. Too bad the data plans are still way too expensive. Hopefully this will help spawn a data war much like the minute war we had a few years back.

I have a strong feeling the open source community is going to really take Android under their wing and come up with some amazing software. Tmobile could benefit from this a lot if the other carriers are not able to get a competing Anroid phone out soon - or if they end up limiting content.

That remains to be seen, Dylan. We won't know for sure until some of these start getting into the wrong hands.

But does it have copy and paste?! That seems like what all the fanbois are whining about. Personally I'd like to see better speed in general. Just moving around the system (the iPhone of course. I'm talking about the iPhone)
