TokyoFlash Rogue: A labyrinth of connecting LCD blocks

I have something I need to get off my chest. I love me some watches and I think TokyoFlash has done more for the watch industry than they know, creating high-design timepieces for not much money. But when time-telling becomes painful, I worry.

From the TokyoFlash website about their new Rogue: “Once mastered, navigating the time is simple, but creates a sense of mystique to the uninformed.” Is this really what we want? To be a time lord in our own three-foot circular personal space? I think time should be shared and I don’t think a weird glowing thing on your wrist will get you the ladies. But I could be wrong.

Anyway, it’s out, it’s round, and it has lots of glowing things in it. $161.52 from TokyoFlash. Am I wrong about my feelings? Tell me off.

  • To be honest time telling is something you do with your iphone. A tokyo Flash watch is something you wear as art on your wrist. I’ve always liked their stuff, but primarily it is because they have lots of blinky and shiny, not because telling time requires a EE degree.

I’ve always liked their “pimp” line.

  • No, you’re right.

Watches should only ever be analog with three hands.

Anything else isn’t efficiently telling you the time and isn’t a watch. Something else maybe, but not a watch.

C’mon, chronographs on diver’s watches…? Tachymeters on on dress watches…? 24 hour bezels on 12 hour only movements…?

    Seriously, what up?

And most definitely – never an integrated bracelet.

  • There’s only one kind of watch to own – and it has to have a calculator!

  • This watch is by far the best they have sold! i have a couple of their watches already but this one is stunning.

I’m definately getting one. The only downside is that parcel force will charge me £15 to deliver it, plus the government will also tax me another £15! Still, on this occasion its worth it!

By the way, its very, very easy to tell the time, i kind of don’t want to give the game away becuase its meant to ‘look’ complicated.

Clue: The time in the picture is 1:21 AM.
