Entertainment Weekly has teemed up with TiVo to create a service that will automatically record recommendations from the “largest, most-respected brand in the entertainment industry”. The content stems from Entertainment Weekly’s ‘What to Watch’ suggestions.
I don’t see how this is good news for anybody. Seriously, TiVo lay off the press releases. You’re touting your service as a method to watch even lousier TV?
But wait, there’s more.
Users will be able to view video content from EW.com! Now you will be able to watch such engaging web programs such as, “Just a Minute”, “Ausiello TV” and “Idolatry”, without having to even turn on the computer. How’s that for living in the future?
Even the press release doesn’t sound excited.

Ugh, and what about the loyal tivo customers who don’t want this shit?
Oh, I’m sure it will be an option or something one would have to subscribe too. The idea might be OK, but EW as content? Eww.
Crappy article about a non-feature… this appears to be similar to TiVo Suggestions, just from another source. Try offering something more to the world than a knee jerk opinion. Such is digg, crunchgear, and these lame sites/users, uggh.
Oh, it’s not a knee-jerk assessment, I truly do hate Entertainment Weekly, and have for a long time.
Then the question is why would you propagate/promote something you hate? That bored? I would suggest learning a new skill or hobby instead.
