An anonymous tipster has confirmed that a major T-Mobile press conference is scheduled for October 23 in LA or NYC in anticipation of a full G1 launch. That’s right, folks: the Android phone is coming. To recap, the G1 is a rebadged HTC Dream from T-Mobile. We have full coverage here but we know the following:
First off, that “chin” that’s got everyone talking is allegedly called a “kicktail” and the slide mechanism is considered an “arc slider screen“. How that works isn’t clear yet, but we want to see it in action.

OMFG! this phone looks great! i have the sidekick lx, and i must say i cant wait until this phone comes out!!!…im not suyre if ill be able to upgrade….i hope i can…if not i need to save up..because this phone looks sooo bad ass.

HTC beats everything they have with an ugly stick. This looks like the 50th anniversary edition of the original “Zach Morris” phone.
Samsung has a phone that’s 5.9mm the u100 – why not get them to design the phone. “Not that they can pack all this into 6mm but what a better company than samsung to go for slimness” I mean after all if you want an iPhone killer I would think design/slimness would be a great help. The only way this is going to kill an iPhone is if it sits on it.
Take the iPhone, chop off the bottom where the “home button” is, relocate the “home button” to the side some where or incorporate it into the sleep wake button. Make it a bit thinner and add the keyboard to the screen. WIFI/802.11n/UMA/3G, GPS, Bluetooth etc.
Otherwise I’m just going to get an iPhone, mess with the xml configuration files a little bit to get unlimited internet for 5.99 a month, get a good ol’ t-mobile plan and call it a night.
Look ppl we all know we are at the newest phone tech . Ppl waste lots of money satisfating themselfs with the best phone at the moment . They are now realising the adro phone g1 what ever … And in one more a new one will come up. Thats how they make money . I wish i could own a phone company . But not regrets . Please dont waste your weekly money . On a phone thats going to do the same job that its suppost to do . “make and recieve calls . If you want some upgrade on it get 5.99 tmo web basic email . In my case thats what i got .

We’ve been reported for the 3rd time that there has been some phones that the screen black out or the phone turn off, something similar like that.
have you experienced that lately? if so, maybe your phone is defective and you may need a replacement or maybe is a software issue that the developers need to fix.
