Samsung has a phone that's 5.9mm the u100 - why not get them to design the phone. The only way this is going to kill an iPhone is if it sits on it. Take the iPhone, chop off the bottom where the "home button" is, relocate the "home button" to the side some where or incorporate it into the sleep wake button. Make it a bit thinner and add the keyboard to the screen. WIFI/802.11n/UMA/3G, GPS, Bluetooth etc. Otherwise I'm just going to get an iPhone, mess with the xml configuration files a little bit to get unlimited internet for 5.99 a month, get a good ol' t-mobile plan and call it a night.
