Are you feeling it? We’ve seen reports of just data and we’re waiting to hear back from AT&T. My service seems to be working fine. I’m not getting any data over 3G or EDGE.
“We are aware of the reports, and we are looking into it,” says AT&T spokesman Brad Mays.
Update: AT&T just shot this over to us regarding the outage.
There was a routing issue affecting some wireless data use in the Northeast region. AT&T technicians determined the cause and restored service at 11:56 a.m. EDT. Voice calling, text messaging and BlackBerry email were unaffected.
No problems in Rochester, New York.
This outage sucks. I’ve been waiting to try out the 3G network (I live in Central Virginia, scheduled for 3G next year) and landed at LaGuardia at 7:30 this morning to find no data. Nearly five hours later, nada.
As of 1:44 ET, now working in Union Square in NYC. Finally.
