One major question about this here in North Carolina is Dell's commitment to the deal they made a couple years back giving Dell a $280 MILLION tax break to build a factory here.

So far, the factory has exceeded expectations (figures are regurgitated based on reading a Raleigh News and Observer article this morning), with the number of employees and average wage each exceeding projections to this point. However, a Dell spokesman stating that her main priorities are to her "customers and employees". Although I can appreciate those two priorities, the main unstated priority will ultimately be to the stockholders. This potentially leaves the state SOL.

I hope Dell has the decency and ethics to stick with the deal made with North Carolina.
