How long has this modded GameCube been out? Oh, right, it’s been two years and they’re still hard to find.
BIZ: What are your thoughts on Wii, a console that’s still impossible to find after two years?
DD: I’ve never seen this type of demand before. I know they’re making more, but we’re still short like everybody else. I think we’ll have a continued shortage this Christmas.

“modded gamecube” is not only unoriginal, it’s pointless. Why the negativity? It’s a fine console, is fun to play, has some good games, and people like it. Let go of your anger.

Supply is so low because Nintendo is shipping most of them to Europe, where profit is much higher. They also seem unwilling to ramp up production. I don’t care what they say about “doing their best” - its been two years, they’ve had ample time to adjust for demand.
Can’t speak for Devin, but that definitely causes some negativity on my part towards the company.

Don’t hate on the Wii:

My Mother-in-law has one.
There will be no video forthcoming.

thebonafortuna, Nintendo has gone from 800K to 2.4M a month. That’s triple the original production. Not even the massively popular PS2 was selling that many a month. Nintendo is just too conservative for their own good. But what would you expect from a company that was slated to end up dead last this gen by all of the analysts?

I work at Fry’s in california and we get a shipment of a couple hundred every week and are pretty much always in stock. Of course we sell them in a bundle package.

Why is the Wii console so hard to find anyway? A friend told me its because that’s the way they want it. That makes it more desirable and thus more of a demand. Sounds like he maybe right.
