Dammit. I might have to order one of these adorable fish warmy hand mouth things. My hands get mighty cold in the winter thanks to a drafty home office and my slightly below-average circulation, so I could probably use one of these. You plug the fish into a USB port and feed your mouse cord through the fish’s derriere and, after about ten minutes, you’ll be wrist-deep in 107.6 degrees of hot, sweaty fish-mouth.
Yes, 107.6 degrees. That sounds kind of dangerous, no? But how dangerous could it possibly be to have your hand atop a $22 USB-powered hotplate stitched inside of a fish made out of cotton and wool?

holy crap. good idea, poor execution. 107 degrees? pass. i’m not getting fired for burning down the office.
These are the posts that keep bringing me back!
That’s awesome! Too bad my office is already about 100 degrees.

Well, that’s much more pleasant than the Japanese ‘upskirt’ one that’s been making the rounds…you know the one I’m talking about.
There is another model of a heated mousepad (that looks more like a “normal” mousepad) available at:

The best hand warmer that I have seen on the market is the mouse handwarmer at IGM Products.com
There is no need to have a plug in or batteries to heat up your hand. Just slip your mouse hand into the mouse house and it keeps it nice and warm – NOT HOT! I’ve used other hand warmers and they are all too HOT.
I AGREE. THIS WOULD LOOK GOOFY ON A DESK. I LIKE JIM’S SOLUTION FROM IGMPRODUCTS.COM.

Better than a bag…a heated computer mouse. I bought one at warmmouse.com. couldn’t be without it.
I tried the heated mouse and it didn’t work out for me. I use a large ergonomic microsoft mouse. the smaller warming mice make my hand ache. it also did not warm the top of my hand. with the “bag” style i can use my large mouse and there’s still a lot of room inside for movement. you should try it with your warming mouse. it will keep the top of your hand warm too.
I did NOT buy the blue goofy looking “bag.” I bought the Mouse Hand Warmer (trademark) through the manufacturer at http://www.igmproducts.com. Chek it out.
I bought this blue-fish-hand-warmer thingy. It didn’t get nearly warm enough to make up for the goofiness factor, but – my wireless optical mouse did work through the felt. That surprised me. The heating element was just too tiny.
