CVG is getting excited about this job posting. After all, if you get the job you’ll “define the next generation of gaming software technology.” Unfortunately, it’s a sad fact of job postings in general that they slightly exaggerate the importance of the position in order to score overqualified applicants.
“As part of a next generation team, you’ll be instrumental in helping to lead the development of the engine that will power future experiences for the next generation of gaming platforms.”
Essentially, you’ll be a coder. Let’s not all start frothing at the mouth here, but yes, some of your code will probably end up in Halo 4, or Marathon 7 as I prefer to call it.

I’m trying to follow the math at the end there. You don’t count Marathon Infinity as a Marathon game?
It was more counting Halo 2 and 3 as one game…. oh, burn!!
Actually it was just me putting the wrong number from my head. I’ll just, uh, correct that…
I was about to say the same thing. I definitely count it. I enjoyed the marathon trilogy more than I did the halo trilogy (err soon to not be a trilogy).
I am here at a forum newcomer. Until I read and deal with the forum.
Let’s learn!
hmmm Bungie aint making any more Halo’s, Gearbox is meant to be doing it, Halo 4 is gonna be for the xbox720 as i read on this site
