Capacity junkies and pro photographers, pay attention; everyone else can causally move on. The latest flavor in SanDisk’s long line of Extreme media cards has been boosted up to a whopping 32GB and 30MB/s read/write speed. The admission price is kind of high at $299, but if you are the type that needs a super fast 32GB CF card, that’s what you’re going to pay – at least until the price drops.

  • So is that a “reed/write” speed or read/write speed? And what is the sticker price on this bad boy?

  • Okay, does it “write” A.K.A. record in the camera RAW images at 200X or is it that it “reads” recorded images at 200X or both?
Reason I ask is I bought the LEXAR 300X and it’s hard to tell if it’s faster when I shoot with my CANON 1DS in RAW, which is always.
It’s way faster off loading to the computer with my FW800 CF reader. I have a couple of San Disk III’s and IV’s as well and I always have to wait after 4 or more sequential frames even with the LEXAR 300X.
