This is kind of a tradition now: new iPods launch and some chump has to tear ‘em apart. RapidRepair happened to chronicle the whole thing and provides instructions for us common folk for when we need to repair our new iPods.

4G Nano, 2G Classic, 2G Touch.

  • On the nano 4G removing the bottom bezel-

    Step 3
There are 2 phillips screws that need to be removed in this step (they are visible). Pop the dock module out and remove one last screw. This isn’t clear to me. I’ve taken out the two screws and tried some pressure very carefully but the module won’t move. Sounds like you are saying take out only one screw then take out the module. Why is this? Why not just take out the two screws at the same time? I’ve spent a couple hours on the web looking for clear instructions on how to disassemble the 4G-not much luck yet.
