I know how slow 2.0.2 was. Like I said before, I posted this immediately after installing without doing any tests. Everyone calm down.

Ok, so you clearly have no grasp as to how slow things were on 2.0.2. EVERYTHING is snappier with 2.1, SMS, Safari, opening applications, closing applications, everything is faster. 2.1 fixes call quality and signal strength. 2.1 is a huge improvement and the fact that you don't notice it is a little ridiculous.

Good to hear that you're all having a pleasant experience with 2.1. I posted this immediately after installing it, so I had no idea what effect, if any, it had.

I'll still be considering whatever phone is released using Google's software, especially if the data plan comes in at a lower price.

Before the 2.1 upgrade, it would take over 3 hours to sync my iPhone, EVERY time. Even without having anything to sync. And a pretty large amount of users had those kind of problems with sync times.

2.1 fixes all that, so it's actually a pretty big deal.

I can't believe u haven't noticed the improvements or changes in firmware 2.1. It takes the phone from being unreliable, sluggish and problematic, to the phone it should have been at launch.

There's too many changes to list them all here, I wrote a blog post on it - iPhone Firmware 2.1 released - http://www.techau.tv/blog/?p=661
