This just makes sense. A nice little portable digital photo frame. Small and compact, the frame is perfect for showing off pics of the fam. It even comes with a leather protective case.
Power is supplied to the frame either through an AC adapter or via a USB cable. The rechargeable battery can handle up to two hours of show time between charges. Up to 45 JPEG pictures can be stored in internal memory, while SD, SDHC and MMC external formats are supported. The panel has an aspect ratio of 4:3 at 320×240 resolution, while having a contrast ratio of 400:1.
The frame isn’t gonna do much for the tech geek, but that is obviously not who this is aimed for. Gramma, however? It might just be perfect. Just remember to update the frame when you go visit her (tell her to pay you back the $60).
New, so check HP for availability.

This just makes sense. Well, I don’t know about that. Up to 45 JPEG pictures can be stored in internal memory.. Only 45 pictures! I would think at least 100; for $60.

RogBog - give us a break! It takes SD and SDHC - you can run many THOUSANDS of photos for very little $ - so why worry about an internal memory difference of 45 pictures vs 100?
And (in any case) I have mostly 2 to 4 MB photos loaded on my SD card (all are auto-sized to fit by this unit). Photos at resolution 320×240 are less than 80K each - so the internal memory is probably 4MB or so and would likely take only 1 or 2 of my 2 to 4 MB photos - am not about to resize everything to fit that memory when SD is so easy…
This a fabulous little unit. Bought mine at BJ’s for $54.99. Beautifully made - bright image, well-made case (leather, according to manual) with 2 SD Card storage slots - also nice to have the AC adapter connect to a removable PC-use USB cable.
I do have three minor complaints/comments: 1) USB mini jack should be on rear side of unit - cable sticks out too far to the left - clunky / restricts unit placement and just visually not-so-hot; 2) smoke mirror frame around image is attractive, but distracting - should be non-reflective (dark gray?); 3) pull-out stand on rear is very nice / smoothly incorporated into case - seems sturdy but I do wonder as to long-term reliability of hinge / plastic snap closure.
