OQO’s CEO skips town to start his own gang

Not much to say here. It’s a change in leadership, and maybe it’s for the better. OQO makes some cool stuff but we haven’t heard from them in months. Perhaps the new guy (Andy Popell, a co-founder of the company) will take OQO in some crazy genius new direction, like Ultra-Miniature Bumper Cars or something. I’ve heard they’re hot. Dennis Moore, who’s leaving, is starting his own company, although I doubt it competes directly with OQO, or they would have poisoned his scotch by now.

Mr. Popell might be smart but is he smart enough to realize that a thumb based PC has not sold nor will sell very well? They need to scrap that form factor and make a true pocket laptop that is based around a touch type keyboard.
If the management can not see that, then if I were Mr. Moore I would leave as well so as not to go down with a sinking ship.
