Yeah, give me one in black and remove the bottom part of the phone with the buttons. Ah, I'm getting one anyway, this looks too sweet to miss:

I don't know, the HTC is impressive, but not quite as impossible as the xperia x1. I think I will hold out to see how Sony Ericcson has managed Windows Mobile versus Android.

Actually, this phone combines the best of all world. Unless you love the iPhone's virtual keyboard, (which I personally despise because it is so slow compared to a QWERTY), then the sidekick's keyboard cannot be beat. This phone combines the features someone would want from an iPhone, with the features that make it practical. (Trackballs, particularly placed on the right hand side, are very convenient...) The iPhone is indeed slick, but it's slickness compromises features that make it highly usable. The G1 seems to address these issues.

Honestly I'm not very excited about this phone. It looks clunky and much less innovative than I was hoping. Also creating yet another platform doesn't help reduce the fragmentation of the mobile ecosystem.

I am just a little disappointed for the camera (3Mpx only, no Carl Zeiss optics like my Nokia N95). Another important features like GPS still not sure (at least not officially declared in the specs)! But I trust the google guys.. :)

What a freaking disappointment. I’m sorry, but HTC could have done a much better job than this! How is this supposed to compete with the iPhone, I mean do we really need another Sidekick. Let’s be honest, when it comes to phones; people make lines around the block for hardware not software. Google Android or not, this is a less than impressive piece of hardware, it is just another phone with a large screen. I mean, HTC just announced the HTC Touch HD, now that is a stunning phone. Why then would they decide to use this model to launch Android?! I can’t even count how many ways I am bummed out!

Sounds like a personal problem (i wouldn’t know i have the same problem). I wish technology would move faster. If i did, I could already have my G1 configured just the way I want it.

I love the Dash and I have been sitting on my hands to upgrade, hoping that this device will be the one. But it absolutely has to be able to sync to Exchange servers, or I'll be giving it a pass.

I'm starting to get really excited to see this phone. Plus it's getting to be about time for me to get a new phone, and I'm excited to see what Google has done with this mobile browser.

This is the device I have been waiting for. I can't wait to get one. I think a lot of people don’t notice how thin it is. From the specs I have 16.5 mm is slightly smaller than my T-Mobile Dash. Anyone that has touched my dash always makes a comment on how thin it is.
