Risky Business is coming as well, but it made the headline too long and it’s not quite in the same pile as those others. So, now you can have your friends over for a hi-def Goonies viewing and be slightly disappointed by how bad 80s movies actually looked. Mind! I like these movies. But almost everything from that era just looks like garbage, and these discs will make that more clear than ever.

On that note, doesn’t anybody think these movies have a sort of natural habitat in your VHS player? I don’t think I could (or would want to) watch The Dark Crystal or Batteries Not Included in high def. Those tracking lines and smeary colors have become part of the experience. They should have a downrezzing player that adds artifacts.
