What can you get for $145? Well, you can buy Lehman Brother’s European assets 73 times, or you can get this 1TB eternal hard drive. At this rate, I’d say the hard drive is the better deal.
It’s the Seagate FreeAgent Desktop, and while I’ve never used this particular model, Seagate makes a mean hard drive most of the time. If that’s not a ringing endorsement, I don’t know what is.

Wow! I think the external hard disk is getting cheaper and cheaper… I bought the 500GB Western Digital My Book Essential Edition in February this year for $145… And now, I can buy the 1TB external hard drive with the same price… ^_^

Costco has 750 gb for $109 and the 1tb for $145 too.
Also, the Passport Elites $85 for the 260gb and $109 for the 320 (w/coupon).
Costco warranties are usually a little bit longer than if purchased somewhere else - plus put it on your Amex and you get an additional 1 year extension.

Same deal at Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148332
Are these any more reliable than MyBooks? My 500GB died after 13 months, a month out of warranty.
