Palm fanboys can now order the Palm Treo Pro handheld directly from Palm. After months of leaks, previews, and finally an announcement, Palms latest is finally shipping. Thank goodness. The price is still ridiculously high at $549, but some of us think it might be the best Windows Mobile phone currently on the market. Oh, and Palm is even throwing in free shipping. How nice of ‘em.

Will this work on Verizon?
What say I take all the cash I have laying on floor, click, ship, arrive and walk into the V-shop? Will the 14y kid behind the counter activate this for me?

No, it will not work on Verizon. Only carries that use a GSM network like AT&T and T-Mobile.
