If you plan to use the MP3 player on the shuttle, you’ll want to get a Micro-SD memory card. You can get a 2gb card for less than $15 and a 4gb card for less than $25. A 2gb card will hold about 500 Songs, and a 4gb card will hold about 1000. The biggest downside to the Shuttle MP3 player is that it simply shows you a list of songs. There is no way to organize them by album, artist or genre. There is a limited ability to create playlists, but it’s a cumbersome feature to use.

Hey Ricarrrdo,

The Shuttle uses a 2.5mm headset (as do most cell phones), so the one you’re using for your iPod is too big (that’s 3.5mm). You should be able to pick up a 2.5mm headset pretty much at any Radio Shack, Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. Some places also sell very inexpensive converter cords so that you can get your existing 3.5mm headset to work in 2.5mm jacks. If you have a hard time finding a converter, try Googling a term like “Headset Adapter 3.5mm to 2.5mm Audio Adapter and Converter”. Not sure how well they work though, so be sure to check reviews to see if there is any quality or sound loss when using one.

Also, you can only use a MicroSD card to move music on and off the Shuttle. You cannot directly load music onto the Shuttle’s internal memory, as that is reserved for other downloadable applications.

Riley,

1. A MicroSD card is what you should get for your Shuttle.
2. You can use iTunes to convert any of your songs into MP3’s.
3. Unfortunately, the Shuttle does not support the ability to use your music as ringtones. Sorry about that.
4. & 5. Should be fine under normal use. Try not to use it as a hockey puck! 
5. If your music tracks are in mp3 format, they should load and play on your Shuttle with no problems.

i have the phone……1wat kind of sd card should i get? 2how do you format the songs on your computer to mp3?3wat songs can and cant you set as ringtones?………….4mine hasnt messed up ……will it??????i5t looks pretty cool………….is it a rely able phone that will last and not mess up for a while???????.6how do i no if the songs in my windows media player r mp3 and if i can put those on my phone??????????????????

I got this phone for 40 bucks just today got it. I’m not that happy with it since I can’t play my own ring tones (i just changed it from my virgin mobile slider sonic its very similar) and once again my own ringtones don’t work. Also the 4 gb sd micro card works fine. Great phone for 40 bucks :D

I always havent been able to receive videos messages either. It does the exact samething, downloads the message and when u go to view the attachment it either says nothing attached or attatchment cant be displayed. I Called vm, and they said they were opening a investigation and never heard from them. Its been over two months

What!!!? i hear that all the time with this phone, the keys are sensitive when you F^%#$ put your finger over it for a second, but learn to use, it took me 1 hour to get use to it. no problem whatsoever. Best phone, reception is great, i even took it to brown spot areas and got all the bars, perfect.!!!

The phone will not play WMA files. If your music is in WMA, you would need to convert it to MP3 on your computer before loading the MP3 files on to the phone. (There are lots of programs available to convert WMA to MP3 – just do a google search.)
