I have seen HDX and compared it to HD-DVD copies of the same title. It is indistiguishable from a well mastered HD-DVD such as "Chronicles of Riddick" when flipping between the two. It is significantly better than the standard HD version that you can rent on Vudu which I also compared.

The article you reference did not include any comparison of the new HDX encoding which is very different from other internet based and on-demand formats.

Calling it "crap" before you even know what you are talking about or viewing does not make you the best judge.

I suggest you take a look at an HDX encoded movie on VUDU in-person before dismissing it.

From a person who has seen HDX in person and compared it to other "top-tier" HD sources, take my word that it is the real-deal.

Yup, HDX has twice as much bps than any other download HD so it should be much better than the existing HD download format.
