I just came across this review, and your comment on the 'bolts' not being real and the dial having no lume stopped me from considering going ahead with this purchase.
I like the look of the watch, the movement and the company backing it, but a watch like this NEEDS to have lume numbers. Too bad
Thanks for saving me the $$, now I need to re-allocate those funds for a different piece :)

The quality is good. It's a strong watch. My wife wears it daily now and she loves it.

Hi Guys,
For those who have owned or own a Debaufre Nav-B Limited Edition or any of Debaufre's watches, would you be able to give me an idea on their quality? I read in one forum that they have Quality Control problems, although this was only 1 single comment.
I might be buying their Nav-B Limited Edition Big Pilot soon. Thanks.

I'll second that slippery slope. Is it bad that I'm more interested in the watch reviews on this site?

".watch acquisition is a slippery slope."
Amen.

I'll tell you my biggest peeve with Debaufre...the friggin' name.

They could not have picked a any other name that makes you feel like you're talking with a mouth full of cotton balls when you say it.

That said, I actually like their Sub clones. Though I haven't owned one since they were Steinhart. I've always found the workmanship on any of their watches to be top notch and the customer service is excellent.

Lastly, and I may be completely wrong on this, I think Debaufre has made a smart marketing move by not discounting their watches.

However, they do occasionally have Scratch and Dent sales.

But, I don't really think any of the watches sold are actually S&D. I have yet to buy an S&D watch from them that looked like it was ever worn or even taken out of the box.

Still, I can't really complain when, or if, I ever receive a S&D watch.

(I actually have an e-mail in my inbox for 35% off their S&D Ocean 1 (Sub Homage))

Enjoy that Aircraft 8. Its quite popular in several forums.
