Mojo HD to be turned off forever

Mojo, or previously known as InHD & InHD2, was one of the very first 100% high definition channels when launched back in 2003. Those were the days of a sparse HD channel lineup of Discovery HD Theater, ESPN HD, HDNet and InHD. Unfortunately, the pioneering station is going to be shut down, as its owner no longer feels it’s needed thanks to the more than a hundred national HD stations we now enjoy. The scheduled shutdown is slated for Dec 1, but local providers will determine the exact date you can no longer watch Zane Lamprey get wasted on Three Sheets – you seriously need to check out that show before the shutdown. Great show.

  • Crap! They had the best shows even compared to non-HD. Business, start-ups, beer, babes, etc. Sad day

  • I’m now thoroughly depressed. Three Sheets was one of the best shows on TV.

  • “you can no longer watch Zane Lamprey get wasted on Three Sheets – you seriously need to check out that show before the shutdown.”

Or, you know, you could just get it on DVD before or after the shutdown… Or watch it on Hulu.

I’m just hoping someone picks up Three Sheets. It’d go great on HBO. It Little Britain USA doesn’t reach the heights of the original (which I can’t understand how it can’t, with the same team), it could take it’s place… =)

  • maybe it’ll get picked up by someone else? here’s to hoping!

  • Darn… Three Sheets and Doctor Danger (Dr. Bob Arnot) are on my watch list. I always thought Mojo needed more extreme sports like surfing, snow board/ski, etc. But since their stated target was “upscale men”, I guess they didn’t have enough “meterosexual” shows to hold the demographic.

Anyway, I usually watch 3 Sheets and Dr. Danger on Joost or Apple TV these days… so no harm?
