Apple is sending out invites to an October 14 event to be held at its Cupertino campus.

Yes, it’s for those much-rumored new MacBooks. God-willing, we’ll be there.

    Now the real question is… will they be available next Tuesday? We have only to this point seen production pictures of them and have not yet seen a completed product. Who knows?!

    However, if they are available next Tuesday and you guys just want to give me one of those for winning that NXE contest I wouldn’t complain. =P

    Seriously, I’d be surprised if they weren’t available on the 14th. Apple likes to do that for everything that isn’t spoiled by FCC announcements.

    I’m wondering if there’s going to be anything else announced as well. I’d like to see something happen with Apple TV - that product seriously sucks, but if they would just add some TiVO or Slingboxy features it might actually make it worth having.
